frequently asked questions

Good to know

Which facilities are at the lakes?

The lakes we cooperate with, are usually not large established places, with large capital in the back. We find that the most places only have toilet / water, and many times also the possibility of charging.

Can I go fishing myself?

Yes you can, but having a partner is a HUGE advantage. Both for handling of the fish, and for help when the bite alarm cries at 03:34am, when everything is dark and you are stading in your underwear.

Is a baitboat necessary?

It depends a lot on the interior of the lake. But many of the lakes in Italy are old gravel pits, they are often quite large, and with many deep slopes, and they can be hard to find without a boat.
Many baitboats have sonar and GPS, which of course is a big advantage, in the hunt for the perfect spot.

How much bait shall I bring?

It´s hard to say, some of the lakes have a limit of 5 kg a day, so this will be a good starting point.
But rather have a few kg to take back home, than standing on the last day of fishing, and see the fish rooling on your spot

Reminder

The ground is very hard and with many stones, so it´s a good idea to remember a rubber hammer.
A lot of stores are closed from 12-15 pm, and only few stores are open on sundays.

Tobacco is sold in drug stores, not in the supermarked.
